Abstract
This work presents the optimization of pH and temperature for biomass growth. A two-level factorial experimental design with central point was used. The evolutionary operation method (EVOP) was used to determine optimal operating conditions. A numerical algorithm explained below determined maximum specific growth rate, as a trial function. Optimal operating conditions were found to be pH 5.5 and the temperature 32 °C.
